Fort District Magistrate Tanuja Lakmali today ordered veteran actress Damita Abeyratne, who is accused of entering the Presidential Secretariat without permission during the last struggle, to appear before a taster on 29th and give a blood sample.
When the case was heard, it was alleged that the previous judge had ordered the accused Damita Abeyratne, Sachini Kaushalya and Maureen Noor to provide blood samples to appear before the taster, but Damita did not do so.
The magistrate issued the order following a request by the North Colombo Crime Branch of the court.
