The University of Sharjah has announced the launch of a new programme in the next academic year, namely the “Doctor of Philosophy in Dental Sciences” programme, which was recently approved by the Ministry of Education and will start studies at the beginning of the academic year in September 2024 AD. This is an academic programme offered by the Faculty of Dentistry.
Dr. Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, President of the University, said that before offering any new courses, the University conducts research on the demand for these courses in the labour market to ensure that it provides the community with the required expertise to contribute to the development of various sectors in the country, especially the health sector.
For his part, Dr Ahmed Hamdan, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, confirmed that the programme meets the needs of both the public and private sectors.
He added that the program is designed to encourage those affiliated with the program to seek leadership roles in research and education in the dental field.
