The National Health Service Superintendency (Sunass) will participate for the second consecutive year in the 28th Lima International Book Fair, where it will have a stand and will host various cultural activities for the whole family.

Sunass provided educational games at its booth to develop skills such as balance, concentration and analysis while learning how to handle drinking water.

At the same time, stories and poetry books written by children from all over Peru are also disseminated to promote care for water and sanitation services and the protection of water sources. The series consists of books such as “Water of Hope”, “Yanapakuq, Protector of Water”, “Son of Water” and “Umah, Source of Life and Well-being”.

Cultural Exhibition

On Thursday, August 1st at 5:00 pm, in the Laura Riesco Auditorium, the book “El Buen Dato Sunass” will be launched, a publication that shows how drinking water affects people’s lives at different levels: health, education, economy, etc. This presentation will be made by Mauro Gutiérrez, Executive Chairman of Sunass, and former Ministers of Education Marilú Martens and Ricardo Cuenca.

Likewise, on Saturday, August 3, at 3:00 pm, the play “Gota de Oro, the drinking water superhero” will be staged in the Blanca Varela Auditorium. Targeted at children and adolescents, this event aims to raise awareness of the importance of protecting drinking water sources and the correct use of this service.

Games and Prize Draws

The public visiting the Sunass stand will participate in games such as “Save the Drop,” which involves dropping a small ball into a bucket while overcoming obstacles by spinning the drop. In this game, not dropping the ball means not wasting drinking water.

Children can also enjoy and learn from the “Fix the Leak” game, in which they have to repair a damaged pipe, replacing different parts (elbows and tubes) until they find the right combination within a certain time. Likewise, you can visit the painting area.

In addition, more than 900 books, pamphlets and other items published by the regulator will be raffled off.
