An officer of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that the southern direction is important for the Russians due to the logistical links between Crimea and the Donetsk region.
“The Russians have enough resources to carry out offensive operations in the south, and I personally believe that there are quite serious risks here, because this is a very important region for them, and the enemy will not allow under any circumstances to reduce the corridor of logistical disruptions with Crimea, and therefore he will try to expand it,” stressed Maxim Zorin.
The serviceman also said that the Russians are now replenishing their forces in the Kharkiv region mainly with “naked” infantry.
“That is, some command of the advancing brigade or division remains, and a few infantry battalions are added to it and immediately sent out to attack,” he explained.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces major noted that the more important problem for Ukrainians is not the Russian infantry, but the enemy’s extensive use of airdrops.
“The occupiers have recently been concentrating on this type of defeat,” the soldier said.
Previously, the portal website “Comments” ReportWhat The Ukrainian military has not detected a threat to blockade the town of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk region, despite Russian forces attempting to push on its flank. “No, the threat of encirclement does not exist today, and judging by the current situation, the enemy cannot carry out its initial intention and continue to carry it out,” Kalashnikov said. He noted that the Russian occupiers are trying to advance on the city from the flanks, but are avoiding direct attacks, which could result in heavy losses. Instead, the occupiers are attacking in small groups of up to eight people after intensive artillery preparation.
