A suspect in the murder of a former member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is detained

Central Asia (CA) – An 18-year-old boy has been detained on suspicion of murdering Irina Farion, a former member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the arrest was not easy. These days, hundreds of specialists from the Ukrainian National Police, the SBU and other departments are working on solving the murder.

Necessary investigative actions and inspections are ongoing.

Assassination of Farian The incident took place on the evening of July 19 in Lviv.she was shot in the temple. She died that night.

Lviv police announced an operation to detain the suspect; he is being sought. Some cameras at the scene of the murder were not working due to a power outage. The Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs is considering two versions of the murder: out of personal enmity or due to Falion’s socio-political activities.
