Divorce cases in Algeria have exceeded marriage cases by 33%, with 93,400 recorded in 2023, and experts have given various reasons for this phenomenon. The Algerian Statistics Bureau revealed that 76,000 divorce cases were registered in 2021, 84,000 in 2022, and last year the number jumped to 93,000. Lawyer and psychologist Ahmed Qoraya said that “the number of divorce cases that have been adjudicated has ended.”
