Andrei Năstase believes that there is no point in signing a political agreement with the socialists
The leader of the YES platform, Andrei Năstase, sees no point in signing a political agreement with the socialists. He said this yesterday at a press conference attended by members of the Romanian National Liberal Party.
“We noticed that President Dodon was particularly interested in this agreement. As for me personally and the YES platform and the ACUM group, we never needed agreements, written and signed documents, whether they were respected or not. We kept our promises, so we are different from the socialists,” said Andre Nastase.
On the other hand, Socialist deputy Jan Seban said the PSRM still believes it is necessary to sign a political agreement.
“We expressed all our wishes to our colleagues from the ACUM Group. We even worked on a draft framework agreement, i.e. what should be included in it and how to work,” said PSRM MP Ion Ceban.
A provisional political agreement was signed between the members of the ruling coalition in early June. It was planned to be renewed in August, but it did not happen. Democratic Party leader Maia Sandu made it clear that in order to reach such an agreement, former Socialist MP Vladimir Turkan must resign as President of the Constitutional Court. Earlier, ACUM Vice President Octavian Ticu said that deepening cooperation with the PSRM would be extremely harmful to the EU.
