July 24, 2024. – The President of the National Electoral Council, Elvis Amoroso, announced on Wednesday, July 24, the launch of the Republic Plan, which will work hand in hand with the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to provide protection and security for the presidential elections that will take place on Sunday, July 28.
During an event held at Paseo Nacional de Los Proceres, he denounced the media campaign waged by the opposition through international media to ensure that they received the money stolen from Venezuelans through the illegal sale of Citgo and the sale of stolen gold to discredit the electoral process.
He added that they could not continue to tolerate the indignity of being paid with “dirty money and products of drug trafficking” to ensure that the United States receives this money to harm the country, and therefore he condemned the lies circulated abroad to defame the power of the country. “Thank God, Venezuela’s institutions are functioning well and have preserved the dignity and loyalty of the people,” he said.
He highlighted the involvement of FANB in the distribution of election materials across the country, including more than 30,000 election machines to be used and spare machines. He thanked the military high command for its work in this regard.
He stressed his gratitude to the Venezuelan government and the FANB, who helped the process culminate successfully at the end of the country’s presidential elections on Sunday.
“Venezuela has the best electoral system in the world and we will put it into practice this Sunday.” Therefore, he warned that they will continue to observe and monitor state media to see the reality.
He also added that all the candidates running for the presidency of Venezuela have the due support of the CNE, recalling that some refused to take part in the last session of the electoral body to sign an agreement to respect the results.
“All the activities of the National Electoral Commission are public, the media is involved and because there are international observers here, they attend all the activities, such as the one we just concluded last Sunday at the Mariche warehouse, which sought to burn down them again,” he said.
