Ahmed Farahat is one of the most famous actors of child roles in Egyptian cinema, known for his famous line “You are my father, my love” in the film Rumors of Love, opposite the late Omar Sharif.
Born on July 23, 1950, Ahmed Farahat is considered the “miracle child” of Egyptian cinema. Despite his love for acting and art from an early age, his beginnings were not smooth.
He started his artistic career at the age of eight when he was discovered by director Salah Abu Saif and cast him in the role of the orphan ‘Marzouk’ in the film ‘Holiday Criminals’, a role in which he performed brilliantly.
He had an extraordinary relationship with Nightingale Abdul Halim Hafez, who always advised and encouraged him to channel his talent into the screen and gave him the opportunity to participate in many artistic productions.
