Saudi Arabia welcomes agreement between Yemeni government and Houthi rebels on de-escalation measures

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Saudi Arabia welcomes the statement issued yesterday, Tuesday, by the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen, regarding the agreement between the Yemeni government and the Houthi armed forces on measures to reduce the escalation of the situation. It thanked the banking industry and Yemen Airlines for their support for his efforts to achieve peace and security for Yemen and its people.
In a statement to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom reiterated its continued support for Yemen, its government and people, and its constant encouragement of efforts to de-escalate the situation and maintain calm, expressing the hope that the agreement will help the Yemeni parties to sit down at the dialogue table under the auspices of the Office of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen to discuss all issues in order to contribute to reaching a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis within the framework of the roadmap for supporting the Yemeni peace process.
