Athletes Combe Seck and Louis François Mendy will be flag bearers for the Senegalese team at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
The announcement was made on Tuesday evening by the Senegalese National Olympic and Sports Committee. “They are the first athletes to have qualified directly for the Olympic Games”, explained the CNOSS in selecting the two athletes. Thus, fencer Koum Seck and sprinter Louis-François Mendy will lead the Senegalese delegation, composed of 11 athletes, parading in Paris.
The opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics will take place this Friday, July 26, at 7:30 pm on the Seine River. The event will last more than three hours and will feature a parade of several world stars. In total, 206 countries or 10,500 athletes will take part in the parade.
