InvestHK’s 7thGlobal Fast Track ProgramApplications for 2024 are now open, with the deadline being September 20. InvestHK’s Global Head of Financial Services, Technology and Sustainability, David Leung, said that over the past few years, the program has served more than 1,000 fintech companies from more than 50 economies around the world, allowing them to showcase cutting-edge technological innovations and accelerate their entry into Hong Kong and other markets. He added that the new elements added this year are aimed at unleashing the innovative potential of the fintech industry and providing a springboard for new solutions.

New elements of this year’s program include the Founder Giants segment, which invites outstanding local companies that have successfully raised funds, expanded overseas business or been acquired to meet with the companies that have successfully advanced to the finals. In addition, more international giants, such as investors and financial institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council region, will join the global Fast Track program to strengthen the connection between the region and Hong Kong. For the Venture Capital Networking Gala, participating companies can establish connections with investment giants, showcase their potential, and strive for financing opportunities.

In addition to FinTech and Artificial Intelligence (AI), three new focus areas will be introduced this year, namely Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)/Green FinTech, Blockchain, and Insurance/Healthtech, to keep pace with the continued evolution and emerging trends in the financial services industry.

This year’s semi-finalists in each category will be invited toHong Kong FinTech WeekOn stage promotion; the final will be held on October 29, where the shortlisted companies will pitch their business plans to thousands of spectators and major companies and investors.
