Harris vows: I know Trump and others like him, and we will unite to win

Harris added at an election rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that she knows “Trump (the Republican candidate) and others like him,” noting that he wants to “take America back.”

“Trump has been accused of a host of crimes,” she continued, adding: “I’m proud of my record compared to Trump’s record.”

About her campaign, the vice president said: “We received the most donations ever to a campaign in the United States, and I received a sufficient number of delegates to win the Democratic nomination.”

She also emphasized at her first campaign rally: “I am honored by President Joe Biden’s support for me in this campaign.”

She stressed that she would work to pass laws banning weapons, build the middle class, fight for the future and freedom, and stop banning abortion rights, which is what Trump is seeking.

Harris confirmed earlier on Monday that she has secured the significant support she needs to win the Democratic nomination for the U.S. presidential election.

US media reported that a majority of the Democratic delegates (about 4,000 people), who are responsible for formally selecting the party’s nominee, have announced their intention to support Harris.
