Qatar Airways signs agreement to increase order for 20 Boeing B777-9 aircraft

Qatar Airways, the world’s best airline, announced an increase in its order for Boeing B777X aircraft, adding 20 Boeing B777-9 aircraft, on the second day of the 2024 Farnborough International Airshow.
The agreement renews Qatar Airways’ existing order for 40 Boeing B777-9 commercial aircraft, bringing the total number of Boeing B777X aircraft requested by the national airline of the State of Qatar to 94 commercial and air cargo aircraft. The agreement also includes a commitment to provide 40 GE9X engines and spare engines, as well as a long-term service agreement.

Qatar Airways unveiled its next generation Qsuite seat on the first day of the show, raising the bar for the world’s best business class. The new Qsuite seat will be installed on 20 new Boeing B777-9 aircraft and other aircraft in Qatar Airways’ carrier fleet.
The new generation QSuite seats include advanced and modern features such as a removable screen with Bluetooth connectivity, dual-purpose window seat wings, single or double flat beds, lockable drawers, touchscreen passenger console and more.
