Google is preparing a new alert for its Chrome browser that will display the entire page when it detects potentially harmful downloads, although it will continue to offer the possibility to complete these downloads.
The protections Google has added to Chrome warn users when they want to download a file that has been identified as potentially harmful or coming from an unsafe location.
This alert appears in a pop-up window that provides a link to learn more about the situation and two actions to take: cancel the download or continue the download.
Now, as the progress goes on a dedicated page on the Chromium blog, he is working on a new alert that will be full screen and have a red background.
As explained in Windows Report, this new alert will replace the pop-up window when the browser detects an attempt to download a file classified as dangerous. It will also have a small survey to understand the user’s intentions, as well as a button to continue the download if you wish.
