An insurance agent in Suriname reported his car stolen on Monday evening. It is said that this happened after he stopped at a store in Welgedacht C-weg.
The injured man reportedly stopped at a store to chat with the owner. Fifteen minutes later, when he walked back to his car, he discovered his bag and its contents were missing.
He immediately called the police after discovering the incident. Police officers from St. Bomar went to the scene to investigate.
He told police that he had 300,000 Surinamese dollars, 7,000 U.S. dollars and 1,500 euros in his bag and that the car was stolen between 7:05 p.m. and 8:20 p.m.
He further stated that his car was locked but police investigation revealed no signs of forced entry.
