The exhibition will be on display at the Residence Citeaux in Paris from tomorrow until September 8, 2024, before being shown in Doha in 2025.
Qatar Museums will host the second exhibition of “Olympism: More than a Dream” at the Royal Monceau, Raffles Paris from July 31 to August 25.
The exhibition is divided into three parts and commemorates the 40th anniversary of Qatar’s participation in the Olympic Games since 1984.
The first section pays tribute to Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic Games.
The second section highlights the key milestones in Qatar’s journey as an Olympic nation, from its first participation in the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984 to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
The third and final section delves into Qatar’s rise as a global sports leader and host nation, and its ambitions to host the Olympics in the future.
