“The criminal case against the daughter-in-law of National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan will be investigated by a ‘non-random’ judge,” the Zhogovurd daily wrote.

According to the Zhogovurd daily, the case involving former Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan, the mother-in-law of presenter Lusine Tovmasyan and others was transferred to the Anti-Corruption Court. The same judge, Marie Mosinyan, has direct contacts with the political authorities.
Judge Mary Mosinyan has been working at the National Assembly since 2019, rising through the ranks in her career and currently serving as the Head of the Legal Support and Services Department for the National Assembly Staff. It was from there that she moved on to her next job, being appointed as a judge at the RA Anti-Corruption Court, specializing in corruption offence prosecutions.
As a result, when Alan Simonyan’s daughter-in-law was arrested in the case, 168.am published information saying that Simonyan sent flowers to the judge to “understand” his wrong actions.
In other words, House Speaker Alen Simonyan sent flowers to show that Mary Mosinyan was wrong and they were right, in order to ridicule the latter.
However, Mary Mosinyan did not appreciate the actions of her former boss and appealed to the head of the Anti-Corruption Court Khachik Ghazaryan, arguing that Alen Simonyan’s actions amounted to pressure on judges, 168.am reported.
It is worth reminding that the former Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan, who was charged in a criminal case involving “coordination” and was detained for a long time, was recently released. The problem is that criminal proceedings were initiated against 8 people for alleged abuse of power during the tendering of services for the needs of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.
In particular, several officials of the RA Ministry of Economy, acting on the instructions of their head, met and had telephone conversations with representatives of the “S” company during the bidding process, discussed the bidding conditions with them, and even provided them with documents submitted to the Commission by the competitor “H” fund, and with their assistance, established new or changed conditions during the bidding process so that the documents submitted by the fund could be considered non-compliant, thus giving the company the opportunity to be removed from the bidding.
The defendant in the criminal case is Ani Gevorgyan, the wife of the brother of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Alen Simonyan, who admitted her guilt and based on active remorse, the case against her and several others was dismissed, the father-in-law of the famous presenter Lusine Tovmasyan, the head of the company “Synerji” Ashot Hovhannisyan, and the former minister Vahan Kerobyan will still fight in court. “
