According to the newly renamed campaign, the $84 million in fundraising “reflects funds raised by the entire campaign, the Democratic National Committee and joint fundraising committees,” and includes 888,000 grassroots donors, 60% of whom are first-time contributors this cycle.

The campaign also announced that 43,000 new donors signed up after Biden passed the torch to Harris, plus $1.6 million raised by the Winning with Black Women group via Zoom calls.

Kevin Munoz, a spokesman for Harris’ campaign, said the “historic support” for Harris “represents exactly the kind of grassroots energy and passion that won elections.”
