In Ethiopia, the National Election Commission announced yesterday, Sunday, that the sixth round of by-elections and re-elections will be held in four regions, including the Benishangul Gumuz region.
In a statement to journalists yesterday on the completion of the elections, the Chairman of the Board, Melatwork Haylu, said the elections were held in the Benshangul Gumz, Afar, Somali and Central Ethiopia regions.
The chairman said that 40 polling stations did not hold elections due to security issues.
When elections were held in Benishangul Gumz district, the joint committee of political parties in the district pointed out that it was already 10 years later.
