The former Manchester United player was instrumental in bringing Lenny Yoro to the club from Lille in France.
That was reported by Yoro himself, but the legendary Rio Ferdinand himself made contact with the French player ahead of his move to Old Trafford this summer.
Yoro said he spoke to Ferdinand about Manchester United and the club as a whole, which helped him a lot in making his decision.
,,Manchester United legends? We could talk about Rio Ferdinand, I don’t know if I can explain it correctly but he was a great defender and a great person.” Yoro said.
“I called him and hopefully I’ll see him soon. Not today but hopefully during the transfer window.”
“He helped me a lot in making the decision and he explained how big the club is and that helped me a lot.”
