Ten young people from Noumea will leave for Paris this Monday evening, thanks to the city’s support for the Sports Action Plan. They will compete in the Olympic Games and even have the opportunity to experience the opening ceremony.

Water polo, rugby, football, basketball… Ten young people from Noumea will experience the Olympic Games for ten days in Paris. In addition to the sports competitions, they will also attend the opening ceremony.

“Thanks to CTOS’s partnership, they will have the opportunity to join a French club. They will discover the sport at a high level by participating in multiple competitions. Fantastic!” Diane Buy-Duyet, Noumea’s deputy mayor for sports, is delighted.

In addition to the sports aspect, these young people will be able to visit museums and emblematic places of the city, “Museums like the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, etc.”.

An educational program was built around the trip. Parents were actively involved and the children were also actively involved in the sports action program. “This stop will give them an open mind, another perspective on the world. They will be able to talk about it when they return to their neighbors.”

The project, which has been in the works for nearly two years and had been funded before the crisis, is an opportunity for these young people to make their journey unforgettable.
