Baghdad (Sanaa) – Three Syrian writers received advanced degrees, including first place in the “Naci El Takriti Creativity Award,” the results of which were announced at a ceremony to honor the winners at the Palace of Culture and Arts in Tikrit, Iraq.
640 short story texts from 22 Arab and international countries reached the prize’s organizing committee in Iraq, of which 475 stories were submitted for the prize; from this number, three Syrian writers occupied senior positions.
The writers are Ibrahim Awad Khalef, who won first place, Naka Ibrahim, who won fourth place, and Susan El Saby, who won eighth place.
