Maybe the family tree is where Mirenge ku Ntenyo lives and there is a reward tree there too.
Inteko Mucule has been collecting the history of the landscape and discovered that Ku Mugina w Immuzo left a history that should not be forgotten.
Immuzo Village is located in Ntenyo Village, Ntenyo Cell, Byimana District, Southern Province, Ruhango District, very close to Ntenyo Market.
This was a girl, born into a wealthy family named Milenge mentioned in early Rwandan history, who lived in Ntanyo.
It is well known that Mirenge wa Ntenyo is Ngunda’s father-in-law, but he is also very wealthy.
The phrase “He owns Mirenge ku Ntenyo” is common in Kinyarwanda.
Mirenge was rich, very wealthy, and had many servants working for him. He used to grow wheat, sorghum, sorghum, beans.
As a reward to the farmers, the mirenge would give them alcohol, especially beer. Pots and pans were dumped in the yard. So when it was discovered, a problem arose because of its abundance.
Besides being known as Ku Mugina w Immuzo, residents also go to Mirenge ku Ntenyo, named after the wealthy Mirenge who lived there.
It is a huge uncultivated mass, often based on the belief that these stones and rocks are still buried deep underground, so if a leak occurs, the energy in these stones will rise and cause a huge disaster.
Some said: “No one cultivates that pot. It is full of potholes and has great energy. If you put water in it, the water will rise up and people will be protected from harm. It is said that even the water is gone. If you put water in it, it will rain immediately. No one will go there to play!”
The tower itself is one and a half meters high and five meters in diameter. On one side of the wall there is a tree that is said to be in the courtyard of Mirenge.
Since 2015, energy staff from the cooperative “COMEP Turwanye Ubukene” working in Ntenyo have been organizing this event with the aim of preserving the history of the place and explaining it to visitors.
On the other hand, some community houses are being built on the outskirts of the area, so there is a risk of damage to them. In response, the cooperative members worked hard with bamboo and also planted flowers and crops. The cooperative hopes to build a Kinyarwanda house in the coming days, similar to the previous house in Mirenge.
In the Ntenyo area where this village is located, there live people known as the “Abarenge” who are said to be descendants of the Mirenge. There are other things known from history such as Christians from different parts of the country going to Mount Kanyarila to pray.
