Professional associations and organizations in the field of nursing and health technology sent a telegram to King Mohammed VI, which mentioned the problems and shortcomings that the health sector in general, and nursing and health technology in particular, are experiencing that have a negative impact on the quality of health services provided to citizens.
A press release obtained by Hespress states that the lack of a nursing job classification that specifies the tasks of each framework has created a legal vacuum, and nurses and health technicians are performing their duties in an atmosphere of anxiety and fear. In addition, there is a lack of a body for nurses and health technicians to regulate the nursing profession and protect it from any intruders that could harm its reputation, while protecting patients and citizens.
According to the same source, the telegram to the country’s king also mentioned the disruption of the sectoral social dialogue process and the resulting congestion within the system and disruption of services within health institutions.
The Health Profession Framework requested King Mohammed VI to place this document under his royal patronage with the aim of doing justice to all health frameworks in general, and to nursing staff and health technicians in particular, and to improving the quality of the nursing profession and higher schools of health technology from a scientific and academic perspective, and to paying attention to trainee nurses and health technicians at all stages of their formation.
The same telegram stressed the role of professional civil society, calling for its participation in the health system reform process, considering its objectives to be the development of nursing science and health technologies, improving the quality of services provided to citizens, through scientific research and the exchange of national and international experiences.
