(13) Goals on the third day of the Taif Regional Championship

Today, Saturday, the regional under-13 team championship hosted by Taif Province and organized by the Saudi Football Federation continued, with 6 matches in Group 1 and Group 2. Among them, Al-Ahsa defeated Al-Sharqiya with a goal without reply, and Al-Ahsa player Mishal Al-Shakibi won the best player award, while Hail tied with Al-Jawf 1-1, Hail player Azzam Al-Junaidi won the best player award, and Najran lost to Jazan with a goal, and Jazan player Ayman Hubani won the best player award.

Makkah also defeated Hafar Al-Batin 2-1, with Makkah player Ahmed Takafi winning the best player award, Riyadh defeated Tabuk 4-0, with its player Nasser bin Kulaib winning the best player award, and Jeddah defeated Asir 2-0, with its player Suhaib Al Harbi winning the best player award.

Young referees continue to lead the championship, with today’s games being coached by six referee teams, with a total of 24 young referees between the ages of 20 and 25.

The referees participating in the tournament, in addition to those who have taken part in competitions at different age levels, also represent the products of the Referees Academy, which is one of the strategic initiatives in the transformation of Saudi football.

Tomorrow, Sunday, six matches will be played, namely Hail and Qassim, Jizan and Assa, Shaqiya and Al Jawf, Hafar-Badin and Medina, Jeddah and Riyadh, Tabuk and Mecca.

It is worth noting that the purpose of the regional team championship is to discover football talents together with the Saudi Football Federation and train them for the future, which is in line with its strategic goal of developing age groups and nurturing a generation of players capable of representing the national team in all forums and competitions.
