Ajman Police General Command has arrested an Asian national for selling and storing counterfeit lubricants of international brands registered in Ajman.
Colonel Ahmed Saeed Nuaimi, director of the Criminal Investigation Department of Ajman Police, said regarding the circumstances of the incident, the Hamidiya Integrated Police Station had received a report regarding the existence of a warehouse that produces, packages, stores and sells counterfeit automotive oils and lubricants in the New Industrial Area.
The investigation department immediately set up a working group and after taking all legal measures, conducted a surprise search of the site, seized a large amount of oil under the names of several companies, and searched the reported suspects. It was found that the suspect in the report was the same person accused in another report and lived in the Integrated City Police Station in the Emirate of Ajman.
After taking official steps, the police searched his home and found a large amount of fake motor oil in his possession. When questioned about the matter, he admitted that he was filling motor oil and lubricants for well-known international companies. Ajman prosecutors began investigating the case, leading to his arrest.
The Director of the Criminal Investigation Department praised the efficiency and experience of the police, as well as their efforts in being able to arrest members of the gang, and called on the public to be careful about buying fake goods and not hesitate to report them, stressing that the Ajman Police will pay close attention and resolutely investigate any fraud or commercial fraud and criminal acts that undermine national security and the safety of citizens and residents.
