Named Maison KN, this house in Hanoi was designed and built by architect Nguyen Tuan Nghia’s team. The house has an area of ​​69 square meters and will be completed in 2023. It is the most eye-catching on the street with its red color.

The house is located in a densely built area. The entrance of the house is small and narrow. The interior space of the house lacks natural light and has poor ventilation.

The homeowners wanted the new house to accommodate the needs of remote work, creating a sense of intimacy while also ensuring privacy for family members.

The photo shows an atrium that helps wind convection inside the house. The architect team created an enclosed living space that fully meets the needs of work, life and entertainment. The outdoor garden is planted with a variety of trees, pursuing a life close to nature.

There are also some sitting places and green trees in the house to relax the eyes.

For the staircase that connects the floors, the architects used a steel frame, but with soft, elastic lines, like a thin thread floating in the garden. Perforated steel and mesh were chosen to create transparency, giving a lighter feeling.

This design not only brings as much natural light as possible into the garden, but also penetrates deep into the ground.

Cross-ventilation air can be blown from the facade into the interior through the long spiral staircase.

The special highlight of the space is the garden on the third floor. This place connects the indoor and outdoor and is also a buffer space to ensure ventilation.

The plants in the indoor garden grow and develop according to a circular ecological model. The crops are watered with rainwater from a storage and collection system, and the organic fertilizer is completely recycled from the existing dead vegetation.
