The new owner of Kelly’s Centra and Kelly’s Diner has pledged that he will continue to invest in the popular restaurant.
Des Cosgrove purchased the shop and restaurant from Martin and Angie Kelly, a couple who have worked in the industry for more than a decade and have decided to leave to spend more time with their family.
In a post on social media, Des pledged his commitment to maintaining the shop’s high standards and thanked Meldin and Angie.
Des posted: “I am extremely honored to be the new owner of Centra Mountain Top and Kelly’s Diner.”
“I will continue to provide the people of Letterkenny with unwavering service, a warm welcome and high quality products. The award-winning Centra Mountain Top and Diner has been at the heart of the local community for many years, supporting local initiatives and providing local jobs. The success of the store is a credit to previous owners Máirtín and Angie Kelly and I wish them all the best for the future.”
Des also outlined his vision for the future of the facility, drawing on his experience of owning similar shops in Bundoran and County Sligo.
“As the new owner, I look forward to bringing my retail experience as owner of Cosgrove’s SuperValu Bundoran and Cosgrove’s Centra Maugheraboy, Co Sligo to the people of Letterkenny. Having spent my life in retail, I am acutely aware of the needs of customers, the demand for high quality products, fresh produce at affordable prices, and the importance of a friendly smile in store.”
“The team at Mountain Top will continue to provide customers with the great service they are accustomed to while further enhancing the shopping experience. I am investing in this store and look forward to a bright future for Centra Mountain Top while still counting on our support and service to the community for many years to come.”
