The Commander of the Republic of Fiji Armed Forces, Major General Jone Kalouniwai, says the group of officers who caused the Royal Fiji Navy’s Puamau to run aground near Laufulaga will be dealt with appropriately.
He said the decision on what disciplinary action to take would be made by the Fijian Navy Commander.
“We will conduct a disciplinary process and it will be conducted by the Commander of the Fiji Navy who has the authority to decide what disciplinary action is taken,” he said.
“This is the process we have to follow.
“We will impose appropriate punishment and charges based on the offenses Puamau has committed.”
