The Fiji Aquatics are brimming with confidence ahead of today’s big Test against the All Blacks in San Diego.

Coach Mick Byrne said the players were ready to give their all for the team and he was looking forward to a great clash.

After last night’s jersey presentation, Byrne said spirits were high among the players.

“We’ve been in good form the week before this game and everyone is fit and healthy so we’re looking forward to playing against the All Blacks. It’s going to be a tough battle for us but we’re ready for it.”

He said playing most of the games against the All Blacks during Super Rugby Pacific had definitely provided experience for the players.

“We played New Zealand in Super Rugby and played most of the games against them. The lads knew what to expect and what type of game the All Blacks were going to give us.”

“The European players add depth and experience to the team, they integrate well with the local players and give them good guidance.”

Byrne also called on Fijian fans in the United States to support the team.

“The team has received great support from fans from different parts of the country. We know there will be many blue flags flying in the stadium. Our fans have been great and I urge them to come to the stadium and further boost the morale of the team.”

The battle will kick off at 2.30pm (Fiji time) at the Snapdragon Stadium.
