Rwanda delivers 1,000 tons of corn to Zambia
Rwandan Ambassador to Zambia Emmanuel Bugingo expressed his support to Zambian Vice President Mutale Nalumango.
Rwanda and Zambia signed cooperation agreements in a number of areas including investment, science and technology, as well as between the private sectors of both sides.
The two countries, the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) and the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), have reached a cooperation agreement on cooperation in the fields of agriculture, fisheries and aquaculture in the areas of immigration, health, investment promotion, as well as trade cooperation and investment.

The good relations between the two countries were further strengthened by the 2-day visit of Zambian Head of State Hakainde Hichilema to Rwanda in June 2023 to strengthen the good relations and cooperation between the two countries.
Several countries in Africa are still affected by drought and their people are suffering as well.
Such a charitable act took place just seven days ago, when Rwanda pledged to donate 1,000 tons of corn to Zimbabwe to help the country led by Mnangagwa cope with the drought caused by natural disasters.
Zambia proud of Rwanda’s maize aid after drought threat
This comes after President Mnangagwa recently announced that the 2023/2024 agricultural harvest will be poor and severe drought will lead to crop failure, leaving 7 million people facing hunger.
Zimbabwe’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Frederick Shava, announced the support while attending an event organized by Rwandans living in Zimbabwe to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Rwanda’s liberation.
At the time, Minister Shawa thanked President Kagame, the Government of Rwanda and all the people of Rwanda for their gesture of mutual support.
Zimbabwe’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Frederick Shawa recently thanked Rwanda for its support to Zimbabwe.
He said: “This charity work done by Rwanda is a way of understanding President Mnangagwa’s request regarding the drought caused by the El Niño disaster that will occur in 2023-2024.”
The leaders said Zimbabwe would never forget the good work done by our Rwandan brothers.
