Two districts of Kafulin town, Diamagne Center and Kafulin 2, suffered severe flooding due to heavy rain overnight from Wednesday to Thursday.
In the centre of Diamagen, rising water levels have turned some streets into real swimming pools where children can swim. Alleys have become impassable and water has also invaded the courtyard of a local school.
A father, who wished to remain anonymous, expressed concern about the recurring situation since the start of the rainy season, demanding a clear solution from the territorial authorities and the Minister of Health.
Heavy rains also caused the Kafrin 2 basin to overflow, flooding homes and forcing local mechanics to interrupt their activities. Some public spaces, such as the square in front of the district administration area, are inaccessible.
Finally, many roads in the city were impassable due to rain, and firefighters were dispatched to evacuate the floodwaters.
