Haiti’s largest solar power plant
“This week, the launch meeting for the construction of Haiti’s largest photovoltaic solar power plant (12 MW) took place in the Caracol Industrial Park (northeast). Haiti is diversifying its energy mix by integrating renewable energy sources,” said Evenson Calixte, director of the National Energy Sector Regulatory Agency (ANARSE).

Jamaica: Pre-deployment site assessment
Jamaica plans to send a police unit to join the Kenya-led mission to Haiti in Port-au-Prince to help fight gangs. Haitian police authorities met with six members of a Jamaican delegation that is conducting an assessment visit to Haiti before sending police officers to the country. Officials said Jamaica is committed to sending officers as soon as possible.
