The Yemeni Junior National Team kicked off the first phase of its internal pre-training camp in the Rawdar district of Abyan province, where national team head coach Samir Fadl, national assistant coach Ali Nono, second assistant coach Walid Nozali and goalkeeper coach Mohammed Deram are preparing to participate in the Asian qualifiers to be held in October next year (19th to 27th). Group 9 includes the teams: (Yemen – Vietnam – Kyrgyzstan – Myanmar) and its West Asian Youth Championship will be held in Vietnam from August 28 to September 10, 2024, and the West Asian Youth Championship will be held in Jordan from August 28 to September 10, 2024.
The youth team held its first training camp at the Irfan Sports Club Stadium, with the participation of the 34 players selected in the first phase, who will undergo intensive training and technical and physical fitness assessments to select the youth team players. The list will enter the second phase of preparations, which will be held in Hadramaut province.
The Laud preparatory camp program includes intensive training in two sessions, morning and evening, to test the players’ abilities and identify talents worthy of participating in the second phase of the preparatory camp in Hadramaut province.
All players will undergo MRI tests before participating in the West Asian Championships in Jordan and the Asian qualifiers in Vietnam.
