At the recent CV Show in Birmingham, German electric car brand B-ON unveiled a new all-electric van called the Pelkan.
At the launch event, company CEO Bruno Lambert said the Pelkan will have a class-leading payload of up to 1,350 kg and come with two battery versions, 43 kWh and 54 kWh, designed to provide a range of up to 226 km and 279 km respectively.
The company also announced a joint venture with Chinese auto brand Chery Group to focus on the development, production and sale of all-electric commercial vehicles.
Pelkan will begin deliveries to customers in continental Europe in mid-2024.
Irish pricing and specifications are expected to be announced by dealer International Motors Limited (IML) in the summer.
B-ON, headquartered in Germany and part of Deutsche Post DHL Group, has been producing and deploying electric fleets around the world since 2017.
