The 18 members were then invited to an economic forum that brought together many Japanese companies. The President of French Polynesia had the opportunity to present the economic pillars of the government’s plan: tourism, blue and green economy, renewable energy and digital economy. He spoke on these topics with relevant Japanese companies, such as Japanese tour operators and companies specializing in ocean thermal energy (OTEC), and even electronics companies such as Toshiba.

The day concluded with a privileged audience at the Imperial Palace with Their Majesties the Emperor, Their Majesties the Empress, Their Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and Her Royal Highness Princess Kako.
