Abu Hamza is the alias of the spokesman for the Quds Force, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Abu Hamza’s statement on Tuesday did not focus so much on the resistance’s material achievements, but instead detailed the strategies used by various fighting groups in the Gaza Strip to fight Israeli troops.
Abu Hamza said in a statement that Palestinian resistance forces in Gaza “are engaged in the most complex and difficult battles (urban warfare).”
To achieve this goal, “Israel trains and prepares in a manner consistent with its capabilities and resources, and achieves results commensurate with every military operation it conducts,” Abu Hamza added.
He also noted that “the resistance in Gaza disrupts the calculations of Israel’s enemies, preventing them from achieving any of their objectives and denying them the opportunity not to target their own vehicles and soldiers at any point or location.”
Below are the latest statements from Gaza’s two main resistance forces and the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, as well as Abu Hamza’s full statement.
These statements were communicated via their Telegram channel and are published here in their original form.
Abu Hamza
“The inspiring moral and ideological factors of the resistance formed the spiritual impetus and support that enabled it to fight the enemy with unparalleled courage and perseverance.
“Our resistance in Gaza disrupts the calculations of Israel’s enemies, preventing them from achieving any of their objectives, and denying them the opportunity to target their vehicles and soldiers anywhere.
“Our resistance forces are engaged in the most complex and difficult combat (urban warfare), for which we train and prepare in accordance with their capabilities and resources, and achieve results commensurate with every military operation they conduct.

“Our fighters have adapted to the geography of Gaza, with its alleys and tunnels, using the above- and underground environments to implement their plans and combat tools, reach their objectives and conduct close-quarter engagements.
“Victory over the enemy is imminent and inevitable, God willing, and its signs are evident in every confrontation that has taken place or will take place, and they are increasing day by day.
“The complex and unique nature of the military operation in the Gaza Strip makes joint and open coordination at the central leadership level difficult.
“Coordination between factions in some military operations is still based on battlefield needs and the geographical peculiarities that fighters rely on in defending any area into which the enemy advances.
“The fraternal ties between fighters of various factions, especially between the Saraya Quds Brigades and the Qassam Brigades, and with other factions are very close, which enables fighters in large and small areas to cooperate with each other according to the needs of each operation.
“Political coordination among resistance factions is facilitated, open, continuous, and of high performance.
“The enemy is good at deception and manipulation, and we see that Netanyahu and the lunatics in his government are out of touch with reality, not doing any politics, and only caring about continuing the war.
“The continuation of the war guarantees their future power, keeps them out of trial, and insulates them from the fear of government collapse and early elections.
“We believe that the factor that will force this corrupt government to accept any deal is that their army is no longer able to continue the war.
“Another reason to force this corrupt government to accept any deal is that their army cannot afford to suffer more losses without any political gain.
“The entry of the occupation forces into Rafah is an established fact, and following their military plan will only lead to a greater defeat for them.
“We are now dealing with the enemy in Gaza who occupies our land and we believe that the enemy’s calculations in this regard are worthless.
“The enemy has occupied Gaza before, and its militarily powerful leaders, such as Dayan, Rabin and Sharon, have all withdrawn from Gaza when the military strength of Gaza was not as strong as it is now.
“When we describe our enemy as an occupier, it means to us that we will fight to the last bullet.
“The enemy knows that fighting in Gaza for years will not achieve its goals, because we have an incalculable amount of munitions, both in equipment and types, and the creative capacity to manufacture in the most adverse conditions remains.
“We do not underestimate the enemy’s capabilities; we take that into account in our battles with the enemy, and similarly, the enemy should not underestimate our capabilities, because the days ahead will be a decisive moment between us and the enemy.
“The enemy’s future is destined to disappear. This is the inevitable result of what we believe in and work towards in the Quran. What was impossible in the past has now become possible and accepted by reason and logic.
“How can the enemy convince its people that it will impose military rule in Gaza when it can no longer convince its people that it can provide them and their future with any degree of security?
“If the enemy wants to rule Gaza by military means, they are welcome to hell! If they cannot do that, then the inevitability of its physical collapse that we spoke of is fulfilled and confirmed, Allah willing.”

Qassam Brigades
“Watch: The targets were enemy vehicles and buildings barricaded by the occupation forces east of Rafah in the southern belt.
“We clashed with the occupation forces in the Al-Marah neighborhood, and they used machine guns and explosive devices.”
Quds Brigade
“We bombarded Sderot and settlements in the Gaza Strip with rockets.
“We announce the introduction of the Sakhra 1 explosive device in the attack last night in the city of Tubas. This was the first time the device was used and, with the help of God, it detonated on a vehicle of the occupation forces.”

Hezbollah
“In support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and glorious resistance, the Islamic Resistance Movement carried out several operations on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, against the positions and deployments of Israeli enemy forces on the Lebanese-Palestinian border, as follows:
- “1. Dozens of Katyusha rockets were fired at the settlement of Kiryat Shmona (village of Al-Khalisa) in retaliation for attacks by the Israeli enemy on civilians in southern entrenched villages, safe houses and particularly in Kfar Tibnit, killing two civilians.
