Thank you very much for accepting this interview to mark World AI Day. AI can be applied to many different industries and functions. What does the future of AI look like for the contact center/unified communications industry?

yes: From my perspective, AI in the Contact Center (CC) and Unified Communications (UC) industries is all about enabling smarter communications. A cohesive and successful UC and CC business operation is only possible when an organization’s employees talk and collaborate with each other. With this knowledge, the challenge becomes how do you create the most effective contact center? I believe AI offers endless optimization opportunities to strengthen connections between employees, leading to more effective collaboration, which in turn leads to a better customer experience. All we have to do is put the best parts of this new technology (generative AI) to work and focus on how AI can help solve current problems and challenges. I believe AI can help drive our technology forward.

What are the main ways that Intermedia uses AI, or what do you think are the main ways that Intermedia uses AI?

yes: We use AI tools to drive and support various business functions and enhance our collaboration and communication platform. For our customers, we focus on incorporating generative AI into the enhancement and improvement of existing functions. This enables them to use these enhanced capabilities to interact more effectively with customers or employees.

Artificial Intelligence has many uses in our daily lives. Why is investing in AI important?

yes: To stay competitive in any industry, it’s essential to start using artificial intelligence. By applying AI to specific tasks, you can increase efficiency and reduce costs, allowing you to focus on other parts of your business. As AI becomes more applicable to more areas, you can find more efficiencies throughout your business, helping you stay competitive in the market.

Intermedia has many unique capabilities and features, such as its new archiving platform. How does Intermedia stay ahead of the AI ​​trend?

yes: As a communications platform, our customers can record their conversations, chats, emails, text messages, recordings, and meeting minutes here. What sets us apart is our superior archiving platform, which can securely store all of this data. With this massive amount of data, we can provide valuable insights to our customers. Now, we are excited to enhance our platform with generative AI capabilities and advanced analytics. This cutting-edge technology will greatly improve the tools our customers are already using. I am excited to bring these innovations to our customers over time.

In honor of World AI Day, what advice would you give to clients or consumers of AI?

yes: AI is not a panacea for all problems; it is designed to be effective at solving specific problems. It can excel at solving targeted, narrow use cases. Privacy and security are paramount, so it’s important to monitor AI usage and optimize it over time to prevent oversharing. At Intermedia, our focus on unified communications and collaboration positions us perfectly to harness the power of AI.
