Epson launches newest heatless inline inkjet technology, bringing performance and sustainability advantages to A4 printing market

Epson continues its efforts to introduce thermal inkjet technology to its office printer range with the launch of the AM-C400 and AM-C550 MFPs, providing enhanced office printing solutions for the A4 market. These new products offer all the energy-saving and productivity benefits of Epson inkjet line printers, but in a smaller A4 size.

This launch expands Epson’s existing A4 inkjet printer range and is an ideal solution for users with higher print volumes. It is profitable for the channels they represent as well as easy to maintain and is part of a sustainable development approach.

Both printers deliver productivity advantages with high print and scan speeds (up to 55 ppm for printing and 100 ppm for scanning), high paper capacity and high-yield ink cartridges (up to 31,500 pages); and an improved color touchscreen user interface for fast, easy operation. The ‘C’ shaped paper path used in their design means their footprint has been reduced, making these printers among the smallest in their class, making them ideal for environments that require highly reliable and efficient equipment but where space is limited.

Jose Sanandres of Epson Europe said: “The launch of this series allows us to fill a gap in our product range and offer the benefits of an inkjet range across our entire office printing range.

Expanding our AM-C range, these A4 models offer impressive levels of productivity comparable to the AM-C A3 models, providing a seamless user experience thanks to a common user interface, but in a smaller footprint.”The product’s print speed, reliability and small footprint, combined with the expected reduction in energy consumption and waste from Epson’s thermal-free inkjet technology, further advances the sustainability agenda and offers a compelling alternative to traditional laser printers.

Developed based on Epson’s open platform, these versatile devices can be easily integrated into existing technology infrastructure and are compatible with all third-party software solutions.
