FREEPORT, Grand Bahama Island, The Bahamas – On Saturday, May 14, 2022, the new Western Atlantic University, Grand Bahama School of Medicine held its inaugural White Coat Graduation Ceremony at its East Sunrise Highway campus. Twenty-three medical graduates were presented with white coats and pins. In attendance for the special ceremony were: Minister of Health and Wellness Dr. Michael Darville, Grand Bahama Minister Dr. Ginger Moxey, Public Hospitals Authority Chairman Andrew Edwards, and family and friends of the students. Dean of the School of Medicine Dr. Joseph Flaherty addressed the students, and Dr. Katrina Parker, Professor of Clinical and Behavioral Medicine, administered the Hippocratic Oath.
