At present, the affected people have been temporarily relocated to the Bakau Friendship Hotel to receive temporary relief, and are coordinating with relevant departments to resolve relevant issues.
The Minister of Defence, Serign Modou Njie, the Minister of Defence, Rohie Bittaye Darboe, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Mamat O. Cham and his deputies, the Commander of the Government of National Unity, members of the National Assembly from North and South Banjul and officials of the National Disaster Management Authority were at the scene to assess the extent of the damage.
