The 18th edition of the Haiti Madness Festival, the largest music event outside of Haiti and entirely dedicated to Haitian and Caribbean culture, will return to Montreal from July 24 to 28, 2024 with a richer program than ever before.
Haïti en Folie offers 5 days of pure Haitian style, featuring a wide range of artists, including legendary roots and voodoo groups RAM and Boukman Eksperyans, talented Quebec artists such as Shreez, Shah Frank, William Osias, Wesli, Täbï Yösha, as well as the band VIBE Benders and DJs KidCrayola and IVY.
“When everything collapses, culture remains”” says Dany Laferrière. It is against this backdrop that we will solemnly celebrate Haitian culture, which is more alive than ever despite the chaos that has gripped the country. What better way to do this than this summer in Montreal during the 18th Haiti en Folie Festival, where Boukman Eksperyans and RAM will mark the 220th anniversary of Haitian Independence in a unique way!
• Seek out the famous 5@7 Haiti with DP Piyou, DJ Kayssy, DJ Sweet La Rock and Baz Konpa at Jardins Gamelin in Phee;
• Three online panels with Haitian celebrities discussing important topics related to Haiti;
• The traditional RARA parade, full of energy and colour;
• A week of free workshops and activities for all ages at Parc Lafontaine;
• A renowned culinary expo hosted by SAQ.
