Housing prices continue to rise. In large cities, the construction cost per square meter has even reached 4,000 euros, which is twice as much as in previous years.

High demand, combined with fewer building permits, has caused a surge in apartment prices in Cluj. In the west of the country, apartment prices in Timisoara rose by 11%. The average square meter sold for 1,433 euros, up nearly 5% from six months ago. A two-bedroom apartment in Timisoara rents for 300-350 euros, and a four-bedroom apartment for 500 euros, excluding utility bills.
New apartments in Bucharest have become more expensive. Compared to the same period last year, prices have risen by more than 17%, starting at 940 euros in Ferentari Extension, but can reach more than 4,000 euros in areas such as Primaveri or Aviatorilor. As for rents, there has been a 15% increase over the last year. Those who want to live in District 1 pay an average of 750 euros, while those who live in District 4 pay 450 euros. Iasi is turning out to be the biggest real estate surprise this year. Its sales of houses and apartments surpassed Cluj and took second place, only behind Bucharest. Compared to the same period last year, 70% more houses were sold in the Moldovan capital.
