Fire Officer, Richard BarbosaFour officials have been charged for irregularities in the tender for the purchase of a new fleet of vehicles, the Interior Minister reported on Monday. Nicholas Martinelli.
Martinelli reported the case at a news conference to release crime statistics for the first half of the year and said that no “special sanctions” were imposed on the fire chief beyond the summary provided and that in some cases “the file was referred to the criminal justice system”.
The interior minister did not provide details about the officers under investigation because “this could have consequences from a criminal point of view”. “We work with the prosecutor’s office reserve,” Martinelli assured.
