Fayez al-Nouman, Deputy Minister of Information, confirmed that reaching a political solution to the Yemen crisis is one of the widely agreed principles locally, regionally and internationally, and that the legitimate government is working on it together with international partners active in the field of Yemen File, led by the Security Council and the United Nations.
Numan added in his series of tweets that a political solution is the cheapest option to end the suffering of Yemenis and that the legitimate government and the Presidential Command Council are working to end the war through the peace process, but on the other hand, a peaceful and political solution and alleviating the suffering of citizens is not an option for the Houthi militia or their supporters in Tehran.
Numan said the legitimate government supports all efforts to extend the armistice agreement and, on this basis, resume negotiations based on the three terms of reference and the humanitarian values agreed by the world more than 70 years ago, including rights, freedoms, equal citizenship and the right of the State to monopolize the use of force and implement the rule of law.
The Deputy Minister of Information concluded his tweet by saying that the Presidential Council and the government have declared their support for any good effort to end the war and resume the political process since the coup in the interests of the Yemeni people and their people. Their desire to restore state institutions and broad partnerships is at the heart of any new initiatives or proposals.
