Sri Lanka to host ICC Annual Conference from July 19 to 22

The Sri Lanka Cricket Association will host the International Cricket Council (ICC) annual conference from July 19 to 22, 2024 in Sri Lanka.

The SLC mentioned in a statement that the mega cricket conference will gather more than 220 delegates from 108 ICC member countries across the world, covering regions such as Africa, America, Asia, East Asia Pacific and Europe.

It added that the ICC Annual Conference is the top gathering of cricket administrators and stakeholders from around the world, providing a platform to discuss the strategic direction of the sport, governance and the development of cricket worldwide.

This year’s conference theme is “Harnessing the Olympic Opportunity” and will discuss topics such as “Diversity and Inclusion”, “Environmental Sustainability and Sport” and “Cricket’s Triumphant Return to Los Angeles on its 28th Anniversary”.

“This is a significant moment for Sri Lanka and we warmly welcome delegates from around the world to our beautiful island. We intend to use this conference to contribute to the future of cricket and showcase the beauty and traditions of our country to the world,” said Sri Lanka Cricket Association President Mr. Shammi Silva.

The annual conference will include a series of important meetings, seminars and exchanges, and will make important decisions that will benefit the future development of the game.
