Local residents saw the thief and the owner called the police

Thanks to the vigilance of local residents, three thieves were caught and arrested at a house on Johan Adolf Pengelstraat in Suriname on Saturday evening.

Speaking to Waterkant.Net, the homeowner SC said he received a call from a local resident who said that a thief was spotted on his property.

SC checked the camera images on his mobile phone and was shocked to find that three perpetrators tried to force their way into the house. He immediately called the police, who quickly dispatched multiple units to the scene.

The police successfully arrested three suspects hiding in the house. They have all been transferred to Nieuwe Haven Police Station for further investigation.

After coordination with the Surinamese prosecutor’s office, three people were detained.

The thieves were unable to steal anything because they were caught in the act and arrested.
