These updates include the circumstances under which current beneficiaries will be disqualified, as well as the criteria and conditions for certifying eligibility for new applicants.

Disqualification Circumstances:

The ministry has found several cases that have resulted in beneficiaries losing their social security eligibility, including:

Exceeding the permitted income limit: If the beneficiary’s income or total family income exceeds the permitted limit of the Ministry’s standards, his eligibility will be disqualified. Failure to update personal data: Beneficiaries must update their personal data regularly, and if they do not, their eligibility may be disqualified. Change in marital status: If the beneficiary’s marital status changes, such as marriage or divorce, the Ministry must be notified for reassessment of eligibility. Possession of high-value assets: If a beneficiary is found to have high-value assets exceeding the permitted limit, his eligibility may be disqualified. Death: If a beneficiary dies, his eligibility will be automatically disqualified.

Criteria and conditions for demonstrating eligibility:

To qualify for Social Security, applicants must meet several conditions, including:

Saudi Nationality: Applicants must have Saudi nationality. Permanent Resident of the Kingdom: Applicants must be permanent residents of the Kingdom. Insufficient Income: Applicants’ income or total family income must be below the permitted limit. No High Value Assets: Applicants must not own assets exceeding the permitted limit.

Deadline to waive and demonstrate eligibility:

Eligibility for ineligible beneficiaries will be disqualified starting in August 2024. For new applicants, their eligibility will be certified after studying their application and ensuring that they meet the required conditions.

New applicants can submit their applications through the ministry’s electronic portal or its branches across the Kingdom. If disqualified, beneficiaries can appeal to the ministry within a specified period.
