President Kagame met with Knowless and other artists and distributed

President Kagame and his wife received the artists on Sunday evening, July 14, 2024, to fulfill the promise made by Nowusi during his campaign in Bugesera region as announced by the RPF-Inkotani on its social media.

On Tuesday, July 6, 2024, President Kagame and the Rwandan Patriotic Front-Inkotanyi (RPF-Inkotanyi) candidate campaigned in Ruhuha district in Bugesera region in the presidential election scheduled for this Monday.

Ingabire Butera Jeanne, known in the music industry as “The Ignorant”, spoke on behalf of the people of Bugesera, saying they were proud of the progress the district had made and asked Paul Kagame, as their neighbour, what would he do after winning the elections and whether he would invite the people of Bugesera to celebrate the victory.

President Kagame, who is the presidential candidate of the RPF-Inkotanyi Republic, while addressing more than 250,000 people gathered in the Bugesera district, accepted Knowles’ request and allowed him to invite them after the election to attend the meeting.

“Let me respond to Knowless’ request first,” he said before me, “although I also have a plan and I will find time to invite them, but we will not attend, even for us, because of our age, even when we arrive, each time we have our own things, things we started seeing before these children, when people are happy when they are not sleeping, even because they arrive we can share, so we will share with them.

Butera Knowless noted that the fact that Paul Kagame and his family moved to Bugesera district increased the value of the district, showing that it is still desired by many.

Paul Kagame also stressed that going to Bugesera to live is because it must send a message that Rwanda is not a place for killing or crossing borders.

President Kagame and Mrs Janet Kagame, artistes who received it include Knowless who also proposed to her, her husband producer Ishimwe Clement, Dr. Muyombo Thomas aka Tom Close, Nemeye Platini aka Platini P, Rwangabo Byusa Nelson aka Nel Ngabo among others.

Butera Knowless, who invited the Head of State to perform, is one of the artistes who has been firmly established in the Nyarwanda music scene for 16 years and is a role model for many new musicians.
